Best Answer

2x + 3

Or 5x7 + sqrt(3)*y4

The coefficients are often integers but can be irrational or even complex numbers.

Polynomials are often concerned with one variable but there is no reason why that should be.

Polynomials with n terms often consist of powers of the variable (x) up to n-1 but again, there is no reason to be bound by that.
