This is from a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker owners Manual Dome Lamp 1. Gently pry the dome lamp lens from the lamp assembly using a screwdriver. 2. Remove the bulb by gently opening the retaining clip and sliding the bulb out. 3. Insert a new bulb. Make sure that it is seated properly. 4. Snap the dome lamp lens back into the dome lamp assembly.
To replace the dome light assembly in a Chevrolet HHR, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and the battery is disconnected for safety. It's probably the switch. Take out the dome light assembly and use your circuit tester to test it. Replace or repair. I've had this happen twice so far. I think if you leave your dome light it causes problems because it gets really hot!
