You can, but you will destroy the lugs certification if you do. Without the certification on a field modified piece of equipment you stand the chance of getting a rejection if the project is ever inspected by an electrical inspector.

Just use the double barrel lug until you can get a proper single barrel lug and then change it out. Keep in mind the cost of a double barrel lug is about four times that of a single barrelled lug.

A trade size hole for a 2-1/2" EMT conduit connector, the hole needs to be 2-7/8" in diameter. A 3" rigid conduit can also use this size hole without the lock nuts falling into the hole.

What size hole should be drilled for wire that will be pulled through the walls?

3/4 in hole good, 1 in hole better. That gets you a full 1 and a half inches from nails and dry wall screws etc and allows electricians to come back and pull more wire etc. Depending on circumstance you may also want to put steel plates over the 2x4 where you drilled the hole, so if some idiot comes behind you with trim nails longer than 2 inches you wont get a short or set the house on fire also a good idea where plumbers drill for pipes... Irecommend a short auger bit to drill with and angle headed Drill. Milwaukee makes an excellent one. I work as a remodel carpenter and am a journeyman electrician.

How do you wire breaker box to earth ground rod?

ITS NOT TO COMPLICATED REALY, YOU NEED A HOLE BIG ENOUGH FOR GROUND WIRE GOING OUT TO PASS THROUGH THE BOX, IF IT IS FOR A BREAKER PANEL IT SHOULD HAVE AN ADAPTER THAT HAS THE INSERT THROUGH THE BOX WITH A LOCKING NUT AND A BUSHING ( PLASTIC ) THAT KEEPS THE CABLE FROM GETTING DAMAGED FROM COMING IN CONTACT WITH METAL BOX. THERE SHOULB BE A GROUNDING BUSS IN THE BOTTOM OR ONE OF THE SIDES THAT HAS THE ATTACHMENTS FOR THE GROUNDS FROM 1 TO WHO NOWS HOW MANY DEPENDING ON HOW MANY GROUNDS YOU WILL NEED.( ONE BIGGER GROUND WIRE COMING IN TO BUSS BAR, SEVERAL( DEPENDING) SMALLER WIRES COMING FORM THE FEEDS THROUGHOUT THE STRUCTURE. )ONCE YOU GET BUSS AND INCOMING GROUNDS, THE ONE THAT ATTACHES TO THE GROUND ROD AND THE WIRE ( BE SURE TO PUT THE ACCORN CLAMP ON BEFORE YOU PUT THE GROUND ROD INTO THE GROUND , IN CASE IT GETS MUSHROOMED DOWN FROM DRIVING IT INTO THE GROUND) USE WATER IN THE HOLE , RAISE THE GD. ROD UP AND DOWN KEEPING THE HOLE FAIRLY WET . IF IT IS JUST DIRT IT WILL GO IN REAL EASY, IF THERE IS ROCKS AND ETC. IN HOLE YOU WILL HAVE TO DRIVE IT IN. THE FURTHER GROUND ROD GOES IN THE BETTER. 10 FEET IS THE COMMON LENGTH FOR THE ROD TO GO INTO THE DIRT .ATTACH THE WIRE TO THE ROD WITH THE CLAMP YOU PUT ON PRIOR TOO AND YOU HAVE GOT IT.

What direction do fluids flow when there is a hole in the container?

Fluids flow down or down and outward, depending on the location of the hole--or path of least resistance. Fluid will stop flowing toward a hole once the fluid level is lower than the hole. So if you marked a line 1/4th inch down from the top of a styrofoam cup, cut a hole at that line (put your finger over it temporarily), and add water to the top and remove your finger, the water will flow sideways and down until the water is below the cut hole. If you poked a hole 1/4th inch up from the bottom, the water would continue to drain to below the second cut hole.
