Sprint and T-Mobile are different companies. You could port your number to T-Mobile, but if you are under contract with Sprint, you will be charged an early termination fee. So if you're asking if you can transfer a Sprint Contract into a T-Mobile Contract. The answer would be; no.
No. The networks used by T-Mobile and Sprint are incompatible. You can, however, keep your same phone number in lots of cases.
What "are" sprint phones? Sprint is a phone company like T-Mobile or AT&T the phones that they use have the sprint logo on them.

No, you can't. Since first of all, these are two different companies. They are not subsidiary of the other, or whatnot. And secondly, AT&T and Sprint run on two very different technologies that are not compatible with each other.
Sprint has better pricing, at&t has better customer service, and more coverage.
