Does a error code or mil code still stay stored in a 96 Honda Civic even if code and engine light is cleared by a battery disconnect or A OBD?

No if the code has been cleared it will not be stored in memory.

Definition of RAM ROM and cache memory?

Random Access Memory (RAM) is the memory in a computer that is used to store computer programs while they are running and any information the programs need to do their job. Information in the RAM can be read and written quickly in any order. Usually, the RAM is cleared every time the computer is turned off. It is known as 'volatile memory'. Cache memory is a more expensive memory much faster than regular memory. It is used as a buffer between main memory and the CPU so that repeated access to the same memory address will actually reference t a copy of the information if it is still stored cache memory. This speeds up the way applications work. This is different than cache storage as when Internet Explorer uses a cache to store recently visited web page information so that a subsequent access to the web page will retrieve the data from cache instead of fetching it through the internet. This makes it much faster when you browse the Internet as it doesn't have to fetch every single file every time. ROM is a memory which is not cleared when power is turned off. The BIOS ROM permanently stores essential system instructions (BIOS). The data held on ROM can be read but not changed. This is done during manufacturing. ROM is non volatile, meaning that the data stored on it will not be lost when the computer is switched off.

Where does erased memory in a computer go?

Nowhere... is still there. Just that if you save new information it will write it over the deleted information . memory in system is not in the form of energy .so it will have memory in ones and zeros.(binary)

Can you have ZoomText 9.1 and dragon naturally speaking 10 on the same computer and still have both programs working perfectly?

If both programs are compatible with your version of Windows then it should be fine to install both programs. I do not know if both programs use the same memory addresses to run so I cannot say if memory conflicts prevent both programs running at the same time

Why can't we create virtual RAM just like a virtual disc?

We do. That is why systems with smaller amounts of memory can still run programs albeit slow. We make virtual memory on the hard drive.

Details of memory bank in 8086?

Yoiur Local Library is about the only place still with this information.

What is resident software?

Resident PROGRAMS are still present in memory of the computer and need not be launched by the operator. Usually their function coincides with the operating system.

What is the need of memory management?

Without memory management, programs would end up writing over their own data or other programs' data, usually because developers would have to make assumptions about what is stored in memory. Modern operating systems reduce the possibility of applications interfering with other programs, via Data Execution Prevention and hardware-based Virtual Memory, but it still cannot prevent bugs where an application accesses its own memory incorrectly and corrupts its own data. A solid memory management approach is necessary so that programs do not "lose" data (called a memory leak), or corrupt their data (possibly causing a fatal crash, loss of data, or other serious conditions).

Is it true that a storage device is used to store data when the data is not beng used in memory?

Yes, although the data is still on the device even while a copy of it exists in memory. That's why many programs will ask about "writing over" a file, because the file is still there.

How do you reset the check engine light on a 2001 MR2 Spyder?

You can reset the check engine light by disconnecting the battery of 20 seconds. This does work but you will need to take the vehicle to your local delear to have the ECU memory bank cleared. if the codes still appear after a memory clear it will then indicate a fault.

Do children or adults have more memory?

Yes, because children are still growing up don't have much memory in their brains as adults do. Children still need to grow older for more information to hold but adults their heads are full from using when they were child. :)
