You can patch the line, I think 3/8 or 5/16 inch would fit better. I wouldn't replace the entire line because of pressure, heat, and over time it would be subject to bursting.
You can not use rubber fuel lines to replace the current brake lines due to the high operating pressure. You will need to replace them with brake lines, the rubber brake lines has a different construction to hold the pressure and not getting eaten away by the brake fluid, brake lines can hold over 2000psi when the pedal is heavily applied

You need to go to auto parts store and tell them that you need both oil cooler lines for your make and model, they will sell you the whole line. Rubber and all, compleate.
Drop your transmission pan while motor is still warm, take two hard lines off passenger side of radiator and blow them out with compressor. Replace pan gasket and put pan back on. Fill the tranny back up while engine is running.

The splice rubber fuel lines must be carefully spliced using the special tool for the purpose. The rubber fuel lines that have been correctly spliced will not leak.
The 1995 Ford Taurus has four brake lines. There is a break line for each break. The brake lines go from the master cylinder to the brakes.
The fuel pump on a 2003 Ford Taurus is replaced by lowering the gas tank, disconnecting the fuel lines, removing the wiring harness, and lifting the pump out of the tank. A new pump can then be lowered into place and reattached.
These are HIGH pressure cooling lines; make sure you replace them with the SAME quality lines or they will rupture and leave you stranded. You often need a flare nut wrench set to remove them as they can be very tight. If they are just barely seeping I would not replace them ,but if in fact they are LEAKING then you need to update them.
