Whenever you're doing unit conversions, it helps to write out the units in the calculations. When you're done, your answer can only be right if it is in the right units. Remember that units cancel. (65 miles/hour * 4 hours = 65*4 miles = 260 miles. This is an answer to the question "Traveling at 65 miles per hour, how many miles will you travel in four hours?")

43.3 cm * 1 meter / 100 cm * 1 km / 1000 meters = 43.3/(100*1000) km

Don't forget that unit conversions is just multiplying by 1 a bunch of different times. By this i mean that, for example,

1 meter = 100 cm so 1 meter / 100 cm = 1.

This is why this form of multiplication doesn't change your answer, it just kind of changes its form.
