If a human can be fooled into believing that he/she is talking to another human, Then, the test is completed and the bot program or A.I. is then eligible for the Loebner Prize, which is the prize awarded annually to the "Most Human Computer" This is how my understanding of the process has culminated through brief encounters with these matters over the past 8 to 10 years. As to whether MR. Turing ever took his own test? Well, This observer can only speculate, I would encourage anyone who reads this to do research if they are so inclined. Some may care, some may not, but the question "will" remain, that much is clear if it is un-answered.":) One final note: It is curious to note that the number of bots available for "Chatting" has increased by at least three-fold over the last 10 years or so. Maybe even at a more rapid rate. One more point, and then I shall lay this "matter" to rest. The rate of "Shall we call it: "Intellectual Prowess" has definitely been on the incline in bots of all sorts. This seems mainly due to a dedicated band of "like-minded" citizens (I don't like to label!) that have done some meticulous work at keeping ahead of the "Curve" so to speak.
