polygons dont necessarily mean quadrilaterals. quadrilaterals are shapes with 4 sides whereas polygons can have 3 or more sides. so, a quadrilateral is a polygon, but having a polygon doesnt mean you have a quadrilateral.

How is a trapezoid and a square the same?

They are both polygons, they are both quadrilaterals, etc.

A square and a rectangle are examples of you?

Potential answers: shapes, polygons, quadrilaterals [four-sided polygons], parallelograms [quadrilaterals with opposite sides of the same length and parallel to each other].

What is a 4-sided polygon same as a quadrilateral?

All 4-sided polygons are quadrilaterals

Is a hexagaon a parallelogram?

Parallelograms are quadrilaterals that have two pairs of parallel lines. Hexagons are six sided polygons, and therefore the two are not the same.

Can a square also be a rectangle and rhombus?

Yes because they all belong to the same class of polygons known as 4 sided quadrilaterals.

Congruent polygons.

What are polygons called if they are the same shape?

parallel polygons.

What shapes are iregular polygons?

Irregular polygons are shapes that have sides and angles that are not all equal. Unlike regular polygons, where each side and angle is the same, irregular polygons can vary in length and angle, resulting in a diverse range of forms. Examples include various quadrilaterals like trapezoids and parallelograms, as well as more complex shapes with five or more sides. Ultimately, any polygon that does not adhere to the criteria of regularity is considered irregular.

Does a decagon tesselate?

yes of course * * * * * A decagon does NOT tessellate. All triangles and quadrilaterals do, there are 14 tessellating pentagons and a number of hexagons (including regular hexagons). There are no tessellations which use polygons of the same shape - regular or irregular - for polygons with 7 or more sides.
