When shooting free throws, the distance is measured from the foul line to the base of the backboard. In the case of 3-pointers, the shortest distance is measured...depending on where the ball is shot from. If you shoot from the corner, the distance is measured to the side of the rim. If you shoot from the top of the 3 point arc, the distance is measured to the front of the rim.
a tool used to draw straight lines or measure straight lines miss pawz: a measuring instrument :)
On the measuring side, they would be fractional sizes of each inch. (US measurement)
"Graduated" measuring instruments (graduated pipette, ruler) are divided into "grades".
Longitud is used to measure the distance of east and west from the prime meridian
No matter what unit of measure a measuring tape uses primarily, there is a simple method for interpreting the lines on the board. The longest lines indicate whole unites (let's say inches for simplicity); the inches are divided in half and indicated by lines nearly as long as the inch lines; those units are further divided into half and so forth, indicated by lines of descending size.
An ammeter is a measuring instrument used to measure the electric current in a circuit. Electric currents are measured in amperes (A), hence the name
I think it is a beaker, due to its measuring lines that make us to provide a proper or enough liquid or chemicals
To measure three fourths of a cup, you can use the 1/4th cup measuring cup. Also, sometimes one cup measuring cups have lines inside for 1/4th cup, 1/2 cup, and 3/4ths cup.
lines are used for measuring, writing on, and more cool stuff like that.
The lines don't measure anything, any more than the marks on a ruler do the measuring for you. Longitude is an angle on the Earth's surface. It's the angle, measured east or west, from the Prime Meridian to whatever location you want to talk about. On a map or globe, there may be some lines printed along the way, to help estimate the angle.
The lines of latitude are the North and South lines on the globe. They measure the time changes there are in areas.
Grid lines on a map are used to help determine location coordinates and navigate accurately. By identifying where the lines intersect, users can pinpoint specific locations with greater precision. This grid system makes it easier to read and interpret maps for various purposes, such as navigation, surveying, and planning.
