You would need at least a bachelor of science degree in marine Biology if you would want to do professional level work.
WEll of course you need a college degree to be a marine biologist. This like many other areas of study require a lot of information to be learned and understood by the person who wants to be a Marine Biologist. Here are some websites that you can read that might help: (copy and paste into address window at top of page) http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/aprilholladay/2004-07-02-wonderquest_x.htm http://answers.Yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080323120028AAzYKMv http://life.bio.sunysb.edu/marinebio/becoming.html http://www.marinebiology.edu/WursigQuestions.htm http://www.gomr.mms.gov/homepg/lagniapp/careerpg/marbio.html Hope that helps!

The first degree you would get to become a marine biologist is a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, or a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Marine Biology. for further degrees you would need to go to graduate school to get your Masters in Marine Biology.
First off, you DO need a degree. The Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. A degree Marine Biology is usually accomplished through a Bachelor of Science degree with a stream in marine biology, however course titles vary according to institutions. Marine Biology is a multidisciplinary field of study, linking Biology and the ecology, as well as other environmental sciences. A marine biology degree provides students with a vast range of opportunities to study marine organism fundamentals, especially in relation to biology as well as to genetics, conservation and aquaculture. Possible subjects through out a marine biology degree include the following: * Biology * Chemistry * Statistics * Conservation biology * Ecology of Marine Organisms * Biological Oceanography * Marine Mammal Biology * Community Ecology * Plant Speciation and Evolution * Cell Biology Note: Marine biology is continually changing, as the new advances in biology continue, genetic research is playing an important role in analysing in species. Suggested studies for marine bioligy would be good to go to a college that focuses mainly on the marine bioligy subject.. I have searched many of these things since im training to become a marine bioligist.. Also you would need to spend about 4 to 8 years in college to become one.. Hope this helps someone! :-)
possibly, but in marine biology you would need a greater understanding of math than fractions.
Well, they need to excel in biology, and focus specifically on all marine life. marine biologists do and accompish many things and in order to be able to overcome those things you should take marine biology classes especially in college and yes ofcourse excel in biology!!!!

I assume you mean a marine biologist. You need a degree in marine biology. This means you will probably have to go to a school near the ocean. You can get basic classes in biology, math and chemistry at any college but you will have to transfer to a college that offers such a degree later. If you are in high-school take classes in chemistry and biology and some math as preparation for such a degree. Also many jobs in marine biology involve some scuba diving and snorkeling so you will eventually need to learn these skills as well.
no
A degree in biology would suffice, but degrees are offered in marine biology which would allow for a better chance of a job in the field.
I doubt you have to intern, but it probably looks really good on a resme to get a marine biology job.

A minimum of a BS degree in Biology
You'll need to major in Marine Biology, unsure about number of years you need.
you need a PhD degree
You need a college degree! Though you can prepare by volunteering at different medical and science programs in the meantime, and take as much biology courses at your school.
chemistry or biology would be handy.
