How much will it cost to add a breaker box for more appliances and socket outlets in a commercial kitchen?

If you could please ask this question again but stating where in the world - in which town / city / state / country - your commercial kitchen is situated, then it might be possible for someone to give you a more helpful answer than this one!As always, if you are in doubt about what to do, the best advice anyone should give you is to call a licensed electrician to advise what work is needed. Before you do any work yourselfon electrical circuits, equipment or appliances, always use a test meter to ensure the circuit is, in fact, de-energized.IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY SURE YOU CAN DO THIS JOBSAFELY AND COMPETENTLYREFER THIS WORK TO QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.

What electrical wiring is required when fitting a new kitchen?

AWG 12/2 wire on a 20 amp breaker. There must be 2 kitchen outlet circuits and each circuit must be protected with a GFCI outlet. Each of these items must be on it's own dedicated 20 amp circuit. Garbage disposal, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator. This will require 6 dedicated 120 volt 20 amp circuits plus a 240 volt 60 amp circuit for the range.

Does 15amp outdoor circuit need gfi?

ALL outdoor circuits and all 115v circuits in a bathroom, kitchen or garage should be protected by a GFIC. If you have any doubt, contact your local building inspector.GFIC outlets are relatively inexpensive and can be wired into the first circuit of a string of outdoor outlets. The expense is reasonable and the protection is well worth the investment.

Why do two circuit breakers control the same circuit 120 volts on all devices in circuit?

Circuit breakers are like fuses that you can reset. There is no need for two though because they do the same job as one, which is to open the circuit as soon as the voltage that is being called for by all the devices becomes greater than the 120v you mentioned. <<>> It sounds to me like you are talking about a three wire split receptacle On kitchen counter plugs and sometimes other locations the electrical code requires that split receptacles be installed. This request came about by people trying to plug too many appliances into one 15 amp circuit. The circuit not being able to carry the load and constantly tripping the breaker. On a split receptacle the tie bar is removed on the hot side (brass) of the receptacle but not on the neutral (silver) side. The red wire is connected to the top brass screw, the black wire is connected to the bottom brass screw and the white (neutral) wire is connected to the other side of the receptacle The rating of the breaker in the panel will be, 2 pole 15 amp. What this gives you is 2 separate 120 volt 15 amp circuits on one receptacle If the voltage was measured between the two hot slots on the right side of the receptacle top and bottom you would measure 240 volts. This voltage would only be 240 if the breaker feeding the receptacle was full size 2 pole and not mini breakers.

Do you have to pin breakers together when sharing the neutral on branch circuits?

Pinning breakers is becoming a thing of the past. This is due to the manufacturing of two pole breakers with one common trip reset handle. The electrical code states that on a 240 volt breaker if one leg trips the other leg must be disconnected from the supply also. This is a safety factor so that if they weren't tied together and one leg tripped the other half of the breaker would remain "hot". Any one working on that circuit in the tripped position could get a nasty shock from the un-tripped leg. Pinning the breakers on 240 volts was done because it was convenient to use single pole breakers in the distribution panel. To abide by the code the two single pole breakers were common tied together. When the branch circuits share a neutral to a common box they have to be common tied for the same reason above. This type of circuit is found on kitchen counter receptacles. Two separate circuits that share a neutral and go to separate junction boxes do not need the breakers tied.

Do I need GFCI breakers for 30 amp 240 volt receptacle in a commercial kitchen?

Usually no. Not unless the receptacle is in the vicinity of standing water. This is to protect the person that has to disconnect the plugged in device from the receptacle, while standing in the adjacent water.

How much can you hook up on a 30 amp circuit This mobile home being remodeled is hooked up to 30 amp circuit. It is a 21 w kitchen and living room. Currently there are only 4 20am breakers?

There are only 4, 20 amp breakers supporting the whole house. The plan is hooking up properly the home a breaker to each room, GFCI to the bathroom and kitchen area, and separate circuits for lights. The question is how much is too much? The breaker box can not be increased in AMPS so 30 is the limit.
