This depends on what the numbers are. For example,

6 + (-4) = 6 - 4 = 2 which is a positive number

5 + (-8) = 5 - 8 = -3 which is a negative number

Say, A + B, no matter which is negative (ignore the symbols), just simply let the bigger one minus the smaller one, the result is negative only if the bigger one is negative.

For example, 3 + (-7).

7 is bigger than 3, I suppose.

And, 7 is negative.

7-3=4, I guess.

So the answer is -4 since 7 was negative.

If just nega + nega, yes it's nega.
