It can do. If you define a quarter of it as one part and the rest as another, the two WILL be different! But the distribution IS symmetric about its mean.

Is uniform distribution normal distribution?

No, they are two very different distributions.

What is the difference bitween normal distrubution and standard normal distribution?

A normal distribution is defined by two parameters: the mean, m, and the variance s2, (or standard deviation, s).The standard normal distribution is the special case of the normal distribution in which m = 0 and s = 1.

What are two types of income distribution?

Two types of income distribution are equal income distribution, where all individuals receive the same amount of income, and unequal income distribution, where income is not equally distributed among individuals resulting in some earning more than others.

What is normal binomial distribution?

There is no such thing. The Normal (or Gaussian) and Binomial are two distributions.

Why Normal distribution is better then other distributions in statistics?

The normal distribution has two parameters, the mean and the standard deviation Once we know these parameters, we know everything we need to know about a particular normal distribution. This is a very nice feature for a distribution to have. Also, the mean, median and mode are all the same in the normal distribution. Also, the normal distribution is important in the central limit theorem. These and many other facts make the normal distribution a nice distribution to have in statistics.

Bimodal Distribution

Which distribution do not have mean?

The Cauchy or Cauchy-Lorentz distribution. The ratio of two Normal random variables has a C-L distribution.

What distribution does the F distribution approach as the sample size increases?

The F distribution is used to test whether two population variances are the same. The sampled populations must follow the normal distribution. Therefore, as the sample size increases, the F distribution approaches the normal distribution.

What is partitive proportion?

Partitive Proportion is the partition of a whole into equal or unequal parts based on the two ratios.:))))))))))

Define a normal random variable?

I have included two links. A normal random variable is a random variable whose associated probability distribution is the normal probability distribution. By definition, a random variable has to have an associated distribution. The normal distribution (probability density function) is defined by a mathematical formula with a mean and standard deviation as parameters. The normal distribution is ofter called a bell-shaped curve, because of its symmetrical shape. It is not the only symmetrical distribution. The two links should provide more information beyond this simple definition.

Why two tail of normal distribution do not touch the horizontal axis?

The domain of the Normal distribution is the whole of the real line. As a result the horizontal axis is asymptotic to the Normal distribution curve. The curve gets closer and closer to the axis but never, ever reaches it.
