If the container on which the "color eye" or ratio stick is used isn't one with parallel sides, the correct color ratio cannot be achieved. Picture a funnel shaped container in which we'll mix some paint. The base color is white, and a bit of metallic cream is being added to give it a pearly metallic finish. If the funnel-shaped vessel is filled to the "correct" level with the white, then the ratio stick is adjusted and then the pearl metallic is added, you end up with too much metallic to white. There is a lot more volume of paint per millimeter increase in level at the top of the funnel than at the bottom. Compare that to a "regular" paint can. Its sides are parallel, so raising the level of the paint say, one centimeter, will take the same amount of paint whether the level is raised from 9 cm to 10 cm, or from 15 cm to 16 cm. See how that works? Another way to say that is that the volume of material (paint) contained between two given levels in a "regular" container will be the same at any level. The volume of material between the 3 cm and 5 cm levels will be identical to the volume of material between the 10 cm and 12 cm levels.

Once acrylic paint has hardened in the container, it is difficult to soften it as it is a water-based paint that forms a permanent bond when dry. However, you can try adding water or a specialized acrylic paint thinner to see if it can be revived to some extent. If the paint is completely dried out, it may be best to discard it and purchase a new one.
Explain "remover spray paint " - never heard of that !
It should be acceptable. You might want to take the paint to the paint store for a thorough shaking. While there, buy a straining mesh and a clean, sealable container. When you get home, strain the paint from the old bucket to the new container.
To store and preserve oil paint in a container, it is best to ensure the container is tightly sealed to prevent air exposure, store it in a cool and dark place to avoid heat and light exposure, and periodically check for any signs of contamination or drying out.
