if you lower the front gear one or two teeth it will be back to your 18 inch tire ratio

You wont have to replace the brakes, as far as the gearing im not so sure. I had a set of 22 inch rims on my truck and no problems with gearing or brakes, it all worked fine. But not sure about gearing in the long run. I had my rims on for a year with no problems
