first we should select a position of the theodolite and initial adjustments are to be carried out then take back sight from the BM and then focus on the top of the object which we determine the elevation and take the vertical angle in bothvernier scales. after that take back sight to line of orientation to a known distance and locate a second point. then shift the instrument to the second point do all adjustments and take back sight to the BM and then focus on the top of the object take the vertical angle in bothvernier scales. after that using trigonometrical formula we calculate the elevation of the object.

What is the difference between single plane method and double plane method?

single plane method:- let A and B be the two chosen instument station Q be the elevate object whose elevation is required A Band Q lies in the same vertical plane double plane method:- let A and B be the not in the same verticale plane as that of elevayed object Q they are in two vertical planes

How many points are needed to determine a unique plane?

A plane can be determined by three points, as long as the three points do not lie along a single line.

How is the angle of elevation affected as the plane flies closer to the person?

The angle of elevation is increased as the plane flies closer because of the decreasing distance.

What is angle of elevation?

the angle of elevation would be the angle between the horizon and the line of sight to whatever object you are measuring to. Lets say for instance that you see a plane, and you determine that it has an angle of elevation of 30 deg. This means that from the horizon, you would need to look up at an angle of 30 degrees to see that plane. below I linked to a diagram which illustrates it quite well. Hope this helped!

How many planes can be determined by A B and C?

If points A, B, and C are not on the same line, they determine a single plane.

Three points that determine a plane?

Any 3 points determine a plane.

Why does the elevation of the sun change from winter to summer?

The earth is tilted 23 degrees in the orbit plane. This results of lower elevation in the winter and greater elevation in the summer.

What is elevation on a map?

elevation, vertical distance from a datum plane, usually mean sea level to a point above the earth.

What is the main difference between a coastal plain and an interior plane?
