The circumference is always (pi) times the diameter. That's why (pi) is such an

important number in math and Physics.

The reason it's represented as a symbol, instead of just writing the number, is that

it's an irrational number and can't ever be written exactly. We can write it with as

many decimal places as we want to, but anything we write is always a round-off.

It never comes out even.

Here are 15 decimal places of pi. Use as few or as many as you feel like. The more

decimal places you use, the more accurate your answer is. But it can never be exact.

Pi = 3.14159 26535 89792 (rounded)

On the other hand, if you just use (22/7) for (pi), then your answer is less than 0.1% wrong.
