An isotherm might have something to do with it--but it does not measure the angle of isolation. I guess that astronomers detect the angle of the earth from the sun and then measure the temperatures of the atmosphere. Just a guess though.

Altitude is the angle measured above the?

Altitude is the angle measured above the horizon.

What effect does the angle of isolation have on heating the earths surface?

The angle of isolation, or the angle at which sunlight strikes the Earth's surface, affects the intensity of the sunlight. A higher angle of isolation, such as during midday when the sun is directly overhead, results in more concentrated sunlight and more heating of the Earth's surface. Conversely, a lower angle of isolation, like in the early morning or late evening, leads to less intense sunlight and less heating.

What is the vertex of the angle?

The point about which an angle is measured

How do you measure angle of incidence and angle of reflection?

the angle of incidence is the angle measured between the normal and the incident ray.. the angle of reflection is the angle measured between the reflected ray and the normal..

What is angle measured above the altitude?

Altitude is the angle measured above the horizon.

When is an angle positive?

An angle is positive when it is measured in a counter-clockwise direction. It is negative when it is measured in a clock-wise direction.

How are angle of incidence and reflection measured?

The angle of incidence and reflection are measured with respect to the normal line, which is a line perpendicular to the surface at the point of incidence. The angle of incidence is measured between the incident ray and the normal line, while the angle of reflection is measured between the reflected ray and the normal line. Both angles are typically measured in degrees.
