Usually you can't do that, but there might be one way. If your district has a charter school with an 7th grade you may be able to go to the district and ask them if you can spent the first half of your 7th grade year there and go into 8th grade for the second half. I had a student who was in my 5th grade and had been kept in 3rd for three years so I suggested to his parents that he do what I suggested above so he could be in the proper grade. They didn't do it, but I think it would have worked and it may work for you.

i really need to get back in my right grade I’m in 7th right know i really supposed to be in 9th but my birthday is late so I need to me in 8th but I really need to get in a right grade for me.I failed one of my grades that’s why I’m in 7th
