5 + 1 / 3.
This will probably return 2, if you're using a standard calculator.
You will have to type this in instead:
1 / 3 + 5
5 + ( 1 / 3 )
5 over 14. just put it in a calculator dude... or go to grade 6.. :P
use a calculator.
put in 1 the divide d=sign (/) then 3
0.3333
3 over 12 put in simplest form is 1/4.
Put a 1 over it. The reciprocal of 3 is 1/3
(1/3)
Raise this number in power of 1/3. For example, to find the cube root of 27, 27^(1/3) = 3. Don't forget to put the parentheses, because if you don't do this, you can find a wrong answer. Without parentheses, as 27^1/3, the calculator will show you 9 as an answer, and this is a wrong answer. Try it.
Get a calculator. Type in 3/8. Then divide that by 7. You should get a number close to 120.
Convert them all to decimal (use a calculator, and divide the numerator by the denominator). Then it should be easy to compare them.
Divide 10 by 3 and you will get 3 and 1 remainder so you put the remainder over 3 and your answer is 3 and 1/3.
1. Turn off your calculator 2. Flip it over 3. Get a pen or sharp pencil 4. Push "reset" 5. Flip over 6. Done
