draw a line from the circle center to any point on the periphery. Then rotate around until you come to the same line you will find that you rotated 360 degrees.

Ancient Babylonians counted in 60s. 360 is divisible by all integers upto 12 - other than 7 and 11. There are approximately 360 days in a year - a rotation around the sun.
