Well, first of all, the acceptance of the term "micron" to mean a millionth of a meter

was revoked by the official SI guys in 1967. I thought you'd want to know.

So all we can say is that a 'micron' used to be one millionth of a meter, and there were

one million of them in every meter.

That was its definition. Either you knew it or you didn't. If you didn't know it, then

there was no way to calculate it.
