The reason you're having trouble with this question is that you've allowed yourself

to be dazzled by the appearance of "rectangle" and "circle" in it, and the instinctive

human fear of geometry has clouded your vision.

Forget about 'rectangle' and 'circle'. The question is simply saying: 100 mm2 of paper

or foil or sheet-metal weighs 7 grams. How much does 3,520,000 mm2 of it weigh ?

Can you do it now ?

You could use a proportion: 3,520,000/W = 100/7 .

Or you could say to yourself: If 100 weighs 7, then each mm2 weighs 7/100,

and 3,520,000 of them must weigh [ (3,520,000) times (7/100) ].

The answer falls right out, and you don't have to know a thing about

rectangles or circles.

You'll also discover that your rectangle weighs more than 540 pounds !
