You determine the volume of the cylinder by taking the area of the cross section and multiplying it by the length, and then multiplying that into the density of copper. Make sure the units match, for example if measured in inches and you want pounds, you may have to convert the densityif given in the metric system, or if you measured in inches and find a density in cubic feet you will have to do the appropriate conversion.

The answer would depend upon the inside and outside diameters and the density of the copper alloy used.

If you have this information it would be calculated thus:

mass of pipe = pi times (length in centimeters) times (density, in grams, of copper alloy per cubic centimeter) times (the difference of the squares of the outside and inside diameters)

weight of cpper tube (gm) = (31.4/4) *(od^2 - id^2) *L*D

od- outer dia, mm

id- inner dia, mm

L-Length, mm

D-Density of copper,(0.0089 g/cu mm)

How do you figure out the density of a cylinder when all you know is the mass and volume?

You can't. There are an infinite number of cylinders with different dimensionsthat all have the same volume, so the volume alone isn't enough informationto tell you the dimensions.

What is gonadosomatic index?

Gonadosomatic Index (GSI) can be expressed in different units, but is based on the ratio of gonad weight to total body weight. It is often expressed as a percent: [total weight of the gonad / total weight of the intact fish] X 100

How do you calculate time to travel and weight on planet?

The first thing is that you calculae you weight. Then it depends on the gravity the planet of your choice. Say planet Saturn. The Saturn planets gravity is 38%. So if you weigh 100 lbs, then you would multiply 100 by .38. Then your total would be 108.00 lbs.

How do you calculate chequered plate?

Weight Calculation: Extra weight of chequers length (m) x width (m) x 2.1 = kg/plate Total weight: length (m) x width (m) x thickness (mm) x 7.85 + extra weight = kg/plate Eg: 2400 x 1220 x 6mm Chequer Plate Extra weight: 2.4 x 1.22 x 2.1 = 6.15 kg/plate Total weight: 2.4 x 1.22 x 6 x 7.85 + 6.15 = 144.06 kg/plate

How do you calculate copper losses?

copper losses are power losses due to flow of current in the wires or resistances,if the resistance is R, current is I then copper losses are I2R. for a 3-phase system; copper losses are same but for a single line, total losses are 3I2R.

What is the amount of copper in a 1999 penny?

Very little. Cents minted since 1982 are made of zinc with a copper plating that amounts to only 2.5% of the coin's weight. The total weight of the coin is 2.5 gm so the amount of copper is 0.025 X 2.5 gm, or .0625 gm

If you have 15 single diamonds how many carats size do you have?

You can calculate the total carat weight by adding the individual carat weight of each stone. Without a carat weight of each of your 15 stones, it is not possible to devise a sum total carat weight.

How do you calculate the weight of an iron ball?

The most practical way to calculate this would be to simply weigh the ball, using weighing scales. If the ball is likely to roll off the scales, you can place it between objects to keep it in place. Then, subtract the weight of the objects from the total weight to find the weight of the iron ball.

What is the weight of copper per unit area?

This question is meaningless the way it's stated as weight is a function of volume and not area. The mass of copper is 8930kg/m3 Without the third dimension, it's impossible to know how thinly the mass is spread over the total area.

How much is the copper content in Door wiring harness of normal hatchback car?

Typical harness wire is around 45-50% copper content. This is standard regardless of the type of car it comes off of. This also assumes that the harness has the computer taken off it. Otherwise the total copper in relation to the weight of the total is much lower.
