A whole number (like 5) is always 100% -- because 5 is 100% of 5.
However, if your question is something like: 5 is what percent of 10, you can do this:
Turn the problem into a fraction: 5/10
Divide the top number by the bottom: 5/10 = 0.5
Move the decimal two spaces: 50
Make that a percent, and you have your answer: 50%
This works with any number. So, say your problem is: 5 is what percentage of 25, you:
Turn the problem into a fraction: 5/25
Divide the top number by the bottom: 5/25 = 0.2
Move the decimal two spaces: 20
Make that a percent, and you have your answer: 20%
However, let me reiterate: 5, by itself, is 100%, because, by itself, it is simply 5/5.
You cannot convert 5 percent to mm.
To convert a percent into decimal, divide by 100. So 5% = 5/100 = 0.05
Convert 8 5/9 fraction to percent
5 percent = 0.05 The fractional notation of 0.05 = 5/100 = 1/20
-5% =-0.05-5/100-1/20
To convert a percent to a fraction, divide the percent by 100.So for 240% becomes 240/100Then simplify the fraction, giving you:12/5
To convert 0.05 to percent multiply by 100: 0.05 × 100 = 5 %
Percent is just hundredths i.e. 5% = 0.05 = 5/100 Move the decimal place two places to the left to convert a percent into a decimal and two places to the right to convert a number into a percent.
4/5
5/8*100=62.5%
10 percent can't become a whole number.
To convert 5% to a decimal divide by 100: 5% ÷ 100 = 0.05
