Gallons per minute is the amount of gallons used or moved or saved for every minute of time that passes. If you wanted to calculate how many gallons were pumped through a water fountain every minute, you would measure this and divide the gallons by the minutes and get your "gallons per minute".
Well, gallons measure volume and kilograms measure weight. So you have to first convert gallons to liters. One gallon is 3.79 liters. Then you have to find out how much the substance you are measuring weighs per liter. For example, one liter of water weighs one kg. The divide by 60 to get minutes to seconds. So:
(3.79g*w)/60=kg per second.
With 2 pints in a quart, and 4 quarts in a gallon, there are 8 pints in a gallon.
With 60 seconds in a minute, divide that 60 seconds by the 8 seconds it would take a gallon to pass. 60/8=7.5. 1 pint per second is 7.5 gallons per minute.
Use this conversion:
gallons per minute x 0.00223 = cubic feet per second
Note: this is for US gallons.

Use this formula to convert gallons per minute to cubic feet per second:gallons per minute x 0.002228 = cubic feet per second. So; 500 x 0.002228 = about 1.114 cubic feet per second.
6,000 US gallons per minute = 13.37 cubic feet per second.
Formula: cubic feet per hour x 7.481 = US gallons per hour (use 6.229 if you want to convert cubic feet to Imperial gallons)
Use this formula: gallons per minute x 0.227 = cubic meters per hour
For US gallons, use this equation: gallons per minute x 8.020833333 = cubic feet per hour750 gallons/minute x 8.020833333 = about 6,015.625 cubic feet per hour
Multiply cubic feet per second by 60 to get cubic feet per minute.
cubic feet per second x 60 = cubic feet per minute
1 gallon = 231 cubic inches1 cubic foot = 1,728 cubic inches1 minute = 60 seconds20 gallons per minute = (20 x 231) cubic inches per minute = (20 x 231 / 60) cubic inches per second= (20 x 231 / 60) / 1,728 cubic feet per second= 0.04456 cubic feet per second (rounded)
Multiply by 60.
Divide by 60.
To convert cubic inches to gallons, divide cubic inches by 231:Cubic inches / 231 = US gallons
liters per minute x 2.1189 = cubic feet per hour
