In the metric system , Pressure is officially measured in Pascal or KiloPascal. The correct abbreviation for KiloPascal is kPa (a lower case k and upper case P) Multiply Pound per Square Inch (PSI) x 6.89 to convert it to kPa. Atmospheric pressure is 101.3 kPa or 14.696 PSI. Most pressure gauges at petrol stations have both PSI and KPa on the dial. Most car makers recommend tyre air pressures in kPa but sometimes they state both in the owners manual . Forget about Kg per cm squared. Do what the rest of the industrial world does, and use kPa.
psi x 6,895 equals newtons per square meter (N/m2)
1000 pounds per square inch (ksi) = 6894.76 kPa, so 1 ton (2000 pounds) per square inch = 13789.52 kPa,and 20 tons per square inch = 275790.4 kPa = 275.7904 MPa[megaPascal].I used ConvertWorld to help with the conversions. 30 pounds per square inch = 4320 pounds per square foot = 2.16 tons per square foot = 2.109209 kilograms per square centimeter = 21092.09 kilograms per square meter = 2068427 dynes per square centimeter = 2068427 microbars = 2.068427 bar = 206842.7 pascals = 206.8427 kilopascals = 0.2068427 megapascals = 2.041379 atmospheres = 1551.448 torr = 155.1448 centimeters of mercury = 61.08063 inches of mercury
Inches of mercury x 0.4912 equals psi
psi
1kgf/cm2 equates to 14.22 psi
Pounds per square foot x 0.006944 equals psi
The answer will depend on what it is that you wish to convert into PSI. You cannot. Inches are a linear measure, PSI (pounds per square inch) is a measure of pressure. The units are incompatible.
This question cannot be answered because psi (pounds per square inch) is an imperial measure for pressure and 1 metre is a metric lineal measurement. To convert psi to metric you would probably use the metric pressure measurement of kpa (kilopascals). To convert pounds per square inch to kilopascals (PSI to KPA), multiply the PSI value by 6.894757293168361. To convert kilopascals to pounds per square inch (KPA to PSI), multiply the kpa value by .14503773773020923.
psi x 6,895 equals newtons per square meter (N/m2)
Divide by 14.223. Or multiply by 0.07031. Your choice.
1 kg/sq cm = 14.2233 psi 140 kg.sq cm = 140 x 14.2233 psi = 1991.262 psi
1 psi x 0.00689475729 = megapascals.
65.2 PSI at sea level.
Inches of water x 0.03613 equals pounds per square inch (psi).
MPa x 145 = psi
