I think the correct formula 4 that is [s=d\t], or speed equals distance over (divided by) time. Or the formula for velocity which is the same formula except it's V=d/t which is velocity equals distance divided by time, and you must to include a specific direction in your answer (EX: south, east, north, west, northwest, ect.). If you need to find out how long it takes to do something or the time it will take, then u slightly change the formula and do T=d\s, or time equals distance divided by average speed (or speed). Hope this helps a bit!

A sonar system measrues distance by determining the?

time it takes for a sound wave to reflect back from an object. By calculating the round-trip time and knowing the speed of sound in a particular medium, the sonar system can accurately determine the distance to the object.

What is necessary to determine the speed of an object?

To determine the speed of an object, you need to know the distance the object travels and the time it takes to travel that distance. By dividing the distance by the time, you can calculate the speed of the object.

In order to determine speed you must know two things?

To determine speed, you need to know the distance an object travels and the time it takes to cover that distance. Speed is calculated by dividing distance by time.

What measurements are needed to be done to determine the speed of an object?

To determine the speed of an object, you need to measure the distance the object travels and the time it takes to travel that distance. By dividing the distance by the time, you can calculate the speed of the object.

How can one determine velocity by using acceleration and distance?

To determine velocity using acceleration and distance, you can use the equation: velocity square root of (2 acceleration distance). This formula takes into account the acceleration of the object and the distance it has traveled to calculate its velocity.

What two quantities must be known in order to determine the distance to an object?

To determine the distance to an object, you need to know the object's speed and the time it takes for the object to travel to a specific location. By multiplying the speed by the time, you can calculate the distance the object has traveled.

How does a rangefinder work to determine the distance between objects?

A rangefinder works by emitting a laser beam towards a target and measuring the time it takes for the beam to bounce back. By calculating the speed of light and the time it takes for the beam to return, the rangefinder can determine the distance between objects accurately.

What two factors determine the speed of an object?

The speed of an object is determined by both the distance it travels and the time it takes to travel that distance. By dividing distance by time, you can calculate the speed of an object.
