56 does not divide into 1, put 0 above 1

56 divides into 167 twice, put 2 above 7, write 112 (which is 2 x 56) under 167 and subtract, writing result (55) underneath.

Run out of digits, but as there is a decimal point, can write lots of zeros to right of the 7.

Bring down next digit which is a zero
