Convert the mixed number into an improper fraction (multiply denominator by whole number, add numerator, put it all over the denominator) and multiply the improper fraction by the reciprocal of the number (1/the number).
For example:
1 3/4 divided by 4
First convert to improper fraction: 1 3/4 = 7/4
Then multiply by reciprocal: (7/4)*(1/4) = 7/16
you cant divide mixed numbers
You turn the mixed number into an improper fraction then multiply by the reciprocal.
by certain numbers you dived both numbers in the fraction 2,3,5,7 & i think there are more but i can't think of them. for mixed numbers i only know how to change them to improper fractions :-/
you change all mixed numbers to improper fractions.
you change all mixed numbers to improper fractions.
When dividing fractions and mixed numbers, the most important step is to convert the mixed number into a single fraction. E.g. 1, 1/3 should be written as 4/3.
Convert them to improper fractions, invert the second one and proceed to multiply.
Mixed fractions can't become whole numbers.
what is dividing fractions and mixed numebers
To combine the fractions or subtract the fractions. Same method with mixed numbers.
First change the mixed numbers into improper fractions by multiplying the denominator and the whole number and add the product to the numerator in the mixed numbers and then multiply the numerators and the denominators and divide the numerator by the denominator of the product.
if you have mixed numbers you make them into improper fractions before you multiply
