If you know the current you'll be taking from the 3.7 vdc, then you can do it with
a few resistors. If you don't know the current, or the current will change during
operation, then the simplest way to do it is with a 3.7v Zener diode and one series
resistor. The more elegant method is with an actual voltage regulator IC.
