A simple method - though not the fastest one - is to try calculating the cube of different numbers, until you find one that gets close enough.

Both this method and any other method require so much calculations that it's better to just leave such calculations to a scientific calculator. Or type a formula in Excel, for example:

=125^(1/3)

Explanation: "^" is used to raise a number to a power. Raising a number to the power 1/3 is the same as taking the cube root.
