How do you find 20 percent off?

When purchasing goods in shop, and they advertise 20% off.

Then if the goods are priced at ,say $80.

THen you find 20% of $80, and deduct the answer from $80

Hence

$80 X 20% = $16

Then subtract $80 - $16 = $64. is the price you pay.

However, be CAREFUL, Some adverts say '20% off' and shown a price of say $60.

In this case you pay $60. because the original price was $60 x 5/4

= $75.
