Numbers can be expressed as the product of their prime factors. For example the factors of 24 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24 but only 2 and 3 are called prime factors because they are in fact prime numbers. So 24 expressed as the product of its prime factors is 2x2x2x3 or 23x3. The prime factors of 2310, which is MMCCCX in Roman numerals, are 2, 3, 5, 7 and 11. Therefore: MMCCCX expressed as the product of its prime factors is II*III*V*VII*XI. Note that number 1 is not considered to be a Prime number because it has only one factor.
