It does, but once you actually click "recent site activity", your contributions are probably buried under others. There are many, many contributors on WikiAnswers. In fact, there may be 50-60 changes in a second!
Registered users can use the "History of changes" option on the left menu.
Recent Site Acticity is exactly what the words mean. The link shows the recent WikiAnswers activity made by users, guests, and the combination of the two. It shows what contributions were made recently by guests and regular users on WikiAnswers.

With the number of changes the site goes through every second, even the time it takes you to submit an answer and click on "recent site activity" will be enough to bury your contribution under newer ones.
WikiAnswers is always making changes to improve the quality of the site and to allow the users to contribute more efficiently and easily. Oftentimes, there are minor changes that happen in WikiAnswers. These are not usually easily noticeable, but will be figured out if you contribute often. Other changes can be major, however, like the change on July 26, 2009. This is when WikiAnswers introduced the "tab" layout for answering questions.
WikiAnswers is constantly being "modified" with new questions, answers, and changes to existing answers.
