This question doesn't make any sense. A square metre is a two dimensional measurement of area not a one dimensional measurement of length. The two are incompatible - so you cannot have any square metres in a length.
millimeter is linear dimension; squaremeter is area dimension. so i feel that there cannot be a conversion.

you find the length and width by counting the numbers on the side to find the width and counting the numbers going across to find the length
Find the width, and multiply the length and the width.
Use a ruler, to find out the area do width times length.
