The formula for the area of a circle is pi(r2)...ie: 3.14xr2

The circumference is pi(diameter)

and

the radius (r) is half of the diameter (d)

Example...if the circumference is 25.12in then the area is 50.24in

Work being...

Circumference = 3.14(d)=25.12

To find the diameter you have to get d by itself...

Divide 3.14 to both sides to do that

3.14/3.14(d)=25.12/3.14

d=8

Now that you have the diameter you know that the radius is half of the diameter so radius (r)=4

Therefore the area of the circle is 3.14(42)=50.24in
