First you fill tub with water all the way,
Put him in ,
walk him out,
take the Volume of the water now missing,
then stand him on 4 scales ( 1 for each foot )
The total density = mass divided by volume .
(mass is the weight)
Hope i helped!
Get the elephant into a (large!) pool of water. You should be able to see how much the water on the side of the pool has gone up. By Archimedes Principle, the mass of the water displaced is the same as the mass of the elephant.
If you can completely submerge the elephant in the water, the measurement of how far the water has gone up will equal the volume of the elephant. This may be difficult, as elephants can swim but are not notably good skin divers.
Yes.
mass/volume=density
Density = mass / volume
Density is the ration between mass and volume.
Use a mass balance to find the mass then find the volume by V=mass/density.
I am an elephant and I find that very offensive.
First I have to find an elephant with one arm.
Yes.
Unless you can find both the mass and density of something you cannot find the density.
Strictly speaking if the density is given then you don't need to find it.
weigh it
Northern Elephant Seal is M. angustirostris and the Southern Elephant Seal is M. leonina.
It is not a problem, since you will never find! an elephant with one hand.

to find density you divide volume by mass. D=m/v
