How do you find the slope to the parallel equation -3x-5y equals 6?

y = mx + b (where m is the slope)

So -3x - 5y = 6 (add 3x to both sides)

-5y = 3x + 6 (divided both sides by -5)

y = -3/5x - 6/5

Slope is -3/5 or -.6
