How do you fix a fuel gauge that stays at three fourths a tank. when you fill it up it goes to the full mark but when its lower three fourths it stay at three fourths?

If it's equipped with the conventional float type sender the float lever arm inside the fuel tank may be stuck. If you can gain access to remove it from the tank you can either clean it to free up the movement or replace it altogether.
