You Have To Do A Factor Tree Then Find What The Most Common Number In Both Of The Numbers. For Example.

24 40

/ \ / \

[2] 12 4 10

/ \ / \ / \

[2] 6 [2] [2] [5]

/ \

[2] [3]

The GCF (Greatest Common Factor) is 2.
