GCF comes from more than one term. To do that you need to prime factor each of the numbers and then multiply all the factors that are common.
Let's do 12 and16.
12=2x2x3
16=2x2x2x2
Common factors are 2x2=4
The GCF is 4.
The GCF is 3.
Since 12 is a factor or 36, it is automatically the GCF.
The GCF is 1.
The GCF is 4.
12, 120, 1200
if they have no obvious common factors (such as 3!!!!!!!) then you multiply them to get the GCF.
Two numbers that have six as their greatest common factor are six and twelve.
GCF of 120, 104 and 112 is 4
The greatest common factor between twelve and eight is four. Don't get confused about greatest common factor and greatest common multiple. There is GCF and GCM, be sure to pay extra attention to the last letter or word, whichevere form it is in.
Both questions are nonsensical. Both LCM and GCF require two numbers to compute. It is like asking "Is 24 is a bigger number?" Bigger than what? If you are asking for the GCF of 12 and 2, the answer is 2, and the LCM of 12 and 2 is 12.■
The GCF is 6.
