Memory is measured in bytes, specifically Megabytes, one Megabyte is a million bytes. The more important question is the type of memory you need. There are different type depending on how old your computer is, there is Single Inline Memory Modules (SIMMS) and Dual Inline Memory Modules (DIMMS).
