No. The square is all on one flat surface, like a piece of paper, but a cube has height off of the paper. When you set the cube down on the piece of paper, the place where it touches the paper is a square, but there's a lot more to it than that.
there is not one special paper used it is the way to make a model more dimensioal / you can look to it from more than one side.

Since their is more room for the air to "grab onto" the paper, it has more air resistance then a crumpled up paper. Hoped this helped!! :D
Do not put paper this is too think in there. Also, do not put more than one piece of paper in at a time or put paper in too rapidly after another.
