To multiply a fraction by a number, you multiply by the numerator (top) and divide by the denominator (bottom). For instance, to do 6 multiplied by 2/3, you do 6x2 = 12, then 12/3 = 4. So 2/3 of 6 is 4.

To multiply two fractions together, you multiply the numerators and the denominators to get a new fraction.

For instance 4/5 multiplied by 2/3 is 4x2=8 over 5x3=15. So 4/5 multiplied by 2/3 is 8/15.
