An electrical fuse is not repairable. They have to be replaced with a new one of the same value as the one that is being replaced. Years ago there were one time fuses that had replaceable links that could be changed out if the fuse blew. Safety codes have changed and now these types of fuses are no longer allowed to protect electrical circuits.

It depends on the type of fuse and what it's on. The old style of house fuse was fixed by pulling it out of it's socket and placing wire of the right rating (in amps) across it's contacts.

In modern buildings 'contact breakers' have taken the place of fuses. They are 'fixed' by resetting the switch.

WARNINGS!!! Firstly, don't mess with fuses if you don't know what you're doing! And do not "fix" a fuse or contact breaker until you know what fault caused it to fail and have had that fault corrected. Also do not fix the old style fuse with wrongly rated wire.

If you ignore these warnings you are risking serious consequences, including a house fire

Fuses in cars and electrical or electronic equipment are a totally different matter
