Half is Khetzi (חצי) which, similar to the word "half" has no correlation with the word "two"
The other fractions are based on the numbers. Shlish (שליש) for 1/3, Reva (רבע) for 1/4, Khamishi (חמישי) for 1/5 and so on.
2/6 3/9 4/12 etc.
A quarter after five, half past 6, a quarter to 7, etc...
There are infinitely many fractions between any two different fractions. 7/24 would do, but so would 71/240, 70/241 etc
The possibilities of the division of numbers are infinite. Like colors, numbers are endless. Examples of fractions less than half are 1/3, 1/4, 1/16, 2/16, 3/16 etc.
1/2 is a half, or .5 or 2/4, 4/8, etc.
There are an infinite number of fractions between 0.5 and 1. This is because you can have an infinite number of digits in a fraction between any two numbers. 0.50000000000000001, 0.50000000000000002, etc.
1/8. Fractions equivalent to 1/8 include 2/16, 4/32, etc.
A lot. 1/2 itself. 2/4 3/6 4/8 5/10 6/12 7/14 ... . . . etc ETC!
Really, third is one of the few that do not end in S Fourths Fifths Sixths Etc... Half is the only other with out an S
2/6, 4/12, 25/75, etc. Just make sure the denominator is three times the numerator!
There are an infinite number of equivalent fractions for 1/2, such as 2/4, 5/10, 20/40, 50/100, 500/1000, etc.
2.5. And don't try to tell me that decimals cannot be not fractions! 2 1/2, 2 5/10, 2 10/20, etc.
