You will look at the both the numbers on the fraction and find a number that you can divide both of the numbers by. It has to be the same number on the too and bottom that you are dividing by. Once you have done that enough times and the numbers aren't common anymore, your fraction is simplified
because when we simplify fractions it will give you the correct answer and that is the rule.
