Many ways, but the simplest is add the two numbers together and divide the answer by 2.
For example, number between 23 and 42.
Add them together: 23 + 42 = 65
Divide by 2: 65/2 = 32.5
So 32.5 is [exactly halfway] between 23 and 42.
The square root of 60 is a single number; you can't have other numbers "between" it. It does work the other way, though - the square root of 60 is between other numbers.
Subtract the smaller number from the bigger number.
you take the number and divide it by numbers 1-10 If that doesn't work try more numbers.Hope it helped!
you try and work out if there are any other numbers that number can be divided by besides 1 and itself.
To find the range between two numbers you subtract the lower number from the higher number and Presto! you have the range. ex. What is the range between 10 and 20? 10. Another way is to simply put the numbers like this 10-20.
109 is a prime number, so 1*109 = 109, but no other whole numbers will work.
In general, numbers are not compatible or otherwise in isolation. They are compatible in the context of other numbers. Two (or more) numbers are compatible if their sum (or other combination) is a number which YOU find easy to work with. As you acquire more experience, you may find that more and more numbers become compatible.
You can easily work it out. firstly, you know that the even numbers are not prime, so that leaves only ~15 numbers. You can check out each number. [hint you only have to test for factors of a number up to the square root of the number.]
Subtract the smallest number from the largest number.
Rounding is going to the nearest tens, hundreds, thousands etc., depending on the problem. Compatible numbers are numbers the work well with each other. Both of these are estimating.
add both numbers and divide by 2. this gives the average, the centre number
Firstly, you should recognize the relevant numbers which are 23 and 29. Now let us work out. Every even number is divisible by two, hence not prime. So we can exclude 22, 24, 26 and 28. Meanwhile 21, (24) and 27 are divisible by three. 25 is divisible by 5. The remaining numbers 23 and 29 have no divisors other than 1 and the number itself, hence they are the prime numbers.
